I made a further Maya bra, the free pattern from Afi Atelier, this time with an embroidered lace. I just love how it turned out, the lace is so beautiful.

All material was from a kit that I got years ago from sewy. It included a lace trim with a scalloped edge that I used for the upper cup, and an embroidered tulle that I used for the bottom cups and the frame.

I lined the bra with sheer cup lining. I constructed cups and lining separately in order to avoid wrinkles. That did not quite work and I am not sure if it is only due to the layering of the fabric, or also a fit issue. In my test bra I had no wrinkles at all. That was made with one layer of sheer cup lining and fold over elastic to finish the edge of the top cup.

I also added that cute little flower that was in the kit. Isn’t it lovely?
